I am a graphic designer, and a friend (who is a professional photographer) recommended this camera to me as an excellent point and shoot camera. - If you are looking for a camera that is easy to use, and provides fast perfect digital prints, look no further. With a rechargeable battery, and compact size, this will camera will give you a good bang for your buck

while this camera takes great pictures,it is extremely fragile. I had it repaired once (bought it in March '07), and now it is irrepairable. Fine if you are not doing anything physical, but all I did was run with it, and that apparently wrcked the electronics. Very dissatisfied.

This works as advertised. I replaced an older model Canon(S400) that died. I bought this one because it was one of the few that still had a viewfinder(better when you are taking pics in a very bright env) and a metal body. The newer models are all plastic and seem a bit easier to damage. I wish some of the new models did not get rid of this feature(viewfinder and metal body), an LCD panel is very hard to see in bright day light.

I have had the camera about 6 months and it performs well. I did buy an additional battery and memory card so that I would not have to interupt my picture taking. This is hope this helps.

This is a spectacular little camera and takes beautiful pics and movies with sound. It is the quickest starting digital camera I've ever seen. It's smaller than a pack of smokes and accessories are all over the place on the net. You are a fool if you pass on this product in the compact digital camera category. I'm on about the 800th pic without a recharge in about 2 months. Great camera!

I've had 2 Canon's and both had the lens retraction problem. No more for me. They will offer to repair if the warranty is out for $99. Or, they will offer you a refurb for, in case, $150. Not good enough...no more Canon's.
